General Patent Corporation (GPC) is a full service intellectual property (IP) firm focusing on IP licensing and enforcement, as well as IP strategy and valuation. Although the company name seems to imply that we work primarily with patents, the name reflects the origins of the company that started as a patent licensing business. This was more than two decades ago. Today we work with all types of intellectual property – including trademarks and service marks as well as copyrights and trade secrets. In recent years we have actively licensed and litigated trademarks and service marks. If you think your trademark or service mark is infringed, contact us. GPC will evaluate your claim of trademark or service mark infringement. There is no cost to you to have us analyze your trademark infringement claim to determine its merits and strength. If we offer to represent you, and you agree to have us enforce your trademark or service mark, we will do so on a contingency basis. That is, we will not charge you anything up front – no legal fees and no out-of-pocket expenses. GPC will prepare the case, engage a law firm to litigate your claim, manage the entire process, underwrite all fees and expenses, and keep you informed along the way. We only get paid when you either win your lawsuit (or lawsuits if there are multiple infringers) or we reach a settlement with the infringer(s). We assume all risks and expenses in enforcing your trademark infringement claim, and we only share in the proceeds if there is a successful outcome.
